The MAC's highly acclaimed "Eye Taiwan, Win Both Sides" Short Film Competition is set to expand in its 6th edition. In addition to continuing the tradition of showcasing cross-strait and Taiwan-Hong Kong-Macau exchange stories, this year, the competition is extending a special invitation to new residents in Taiwan to document their touching stories of life in Taiwan. The goal is to use this competition to highlight the spirit of cultural diversity and integration in Taiwanese society.

Whether you are a local Taiwanese, a resident from mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau, a student from these regions studying in Taiwan, or a new immigrant who has come from afar to this land, you are all welcome to pick up your cameras, unleash your creativity, and use visual storytelling to share your experiences of life in Taiwan and the moments of cross-cultural exchange. Let's showcase the genuine interactions between people from both sides of the strait and Taiwan-Hong Kong-Macau residents, as well as the "heart" life of all new residents in their new home, Taiwan.

The MAC announced that the total prize money for this edition of the competition is 840,000 New Taiwan Dollars, with the top prize offering a generous reward of up to 200,000 New Taiwan Dollars. The submission period runs from July 26th to September 27th. To encourage more public participation, this year, a "Online Popularity Award" has been introduced, and the voting period is from August 16th to October 11th. People are invited to cast their votes for their favorite short films to boost their popularity.
